Rev. Dr. Ahriana Platten (President)
Rev. Dr. Ahriana Platten serves as the lead minister at Unity Spiritual Center in the Rockies in Colorado Springs, CO. She is a business professional and community leader who has traveled the world and experienced its cultural differences and human similarities. Ahriana serves on UWM’s International Connections Committee and its 2030 Focusing Forward committee, and she is the founder and coordinator for “In Good Faith,” a weekly newspaper column and podcast based on interfaith dialogue. She is an ambassador for the Parliament of the World’s Religions and leads the parliament’s ambassador advisory committee.
Rev. Jean-Marie Schweizer, MDiv, LUT (Vice President)
Rev. Jean-Marie Schweizer has served as the spiritual leader and minister at Unity Lake Houston in Kingwood, TX since 2014. He has been a Licensed Unity Teacher (LUT) since 2013. He was ordained as a Unity minister in 2018 with the completion of the M.Div. program. Jean-Marie has a strong background in both the business and spiritual world. Together with his wife Elaine, he has built several successful businesses in Switzerland, Australia, and the United States, focusing on marketing, advertising, technology, and business consulting. His spiritual passion comes from a long tradition of meditative and contemplative practices, having meditated for close to 40 years and having taught meditation and spiritual practices to hundreds if not thousands over the past two decades. Rev. Annette Olsen
Rev. Annette Olsen serves as the Senior Minister for Unity of Fayetteville in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Prior to becoming Senior Minister, she held positions there as Music Director, Co-Spiritual Leader, and Spiritual Leader. Annette was ordained in 2018 through Unity’s Field Licensing program.
Annette holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas and created a life around elementary education for 14 years. She taught in summer teaching programs for teenagers and adults while also working as Music Director for Unity of Fayetteville. Additionally, she served as Parent-Teacher Organization President for 4 years.
Her many volunteer and job positions at Unity of Fayetteville have included managing the bookstore, office administration, and running the music program with four different ministers.
rev. susan gumm
Susan has served as the Senior Minister at Unity on the Avenue Spiritual Center in Denver, CO, since February 2013. She was ordained through the Field Licensing Program in March of 2017 and has been a Licensed Unity Teacher since 1997. Susan has been a part of the Unity movement for the past 33 years and has served as Associate Minister at Unity of Denver, Chair for SEE in the Field for two years for Unity Colorado, and Adult Education Minister for 11 years.
Susan also has her own ministry called Spirit Filled Ministries, which she serves as a Celebrant and Life Tribute Professional for Horan & McConaty Funeral Homes as a non-denominational minister. She loves serving families as they walk through the end of life and supporting the families for their services.
Susan has a Master’s of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology and undergraduate degrees from Regis University in Religious Studies and Davenport University in Marketing.
Rev. Brendalyn Batchelor (Regional Representative)
Rev. Brendalyn Batchelor, M.A., LPC, has served as Senior Minister of Unity Santa Fe, New Mexico, since December 1994. She was ordained in February 2000 through the Field Licensing Program. She has a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor’s in General Studies from Chaminade University of Honolulu. Prior to ministry, Brendalyn worked as an Employee Assistance Counselor, Health Case Manager, and Employee Relations Specialist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. She has extensive federal service human resources and related investigative experience which uniquely qualified her to serve for 7 years as the Chair of the Credentialed Leader/Ministry Review Team for Unity Worldwide Ministries.
Dr. Nancy Little, lut
Dr. Nancy Little began her Unity journey at Unity of Dallas in 1993, serving consistently in leadership roles such as Board Member, Prayer Chaplain Coordinator, Platform Assistant; and Education Design Team. In 2012, Nancy served Unity Church of Hawaii during an eight-month internship, fueling her passion to share the Aloha message.
In 2014, Nancy conceived Unity Spirit of Aloha and received formal approval from Unity Worldwide Ministries to operate as an Alternative Unity Ministry. Drawing from the ancient wisdom teachings of Hawai’i, Nancy shares the Spirit of Aloha by offering Sunday messages, workshops, and training events at spiritual communities in the United States and Canada. Gordon keyler, LUT
Originally from Elk Grove Village, IL, Gordon moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1979 where he began his journey in Unity. He has been a Truth student since. Since 1980, he has served as a Sunday school teacher, Y.O.U. sponsor, chaplain, and LUT. He is currently Spiritual Leader at Unity of Joplin, MO where he has served since 2014.
Prior to becoming a full time Unity volunteer/employee, Gordon worked as a local manager for NAPA Auto Parts, overseeing seven stores as well as the main retail center for NAPA in Albuquerque, NM. Later, he became a Material Handling Specialist where he designed and sold equipment to government and industry.
