What We Do

Unity South Central Region (USCR) serves 13 states in various capacities that are both unique and additional to the services Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) provides, including:

  • Ministry support with board training, peacemaking, and transitional services

  • Prayer support for ministries, ministers, and spiritual leaders.

  • Judicatory representation for those entering UWM’s ethics review system

  • Addressing regional concerns relevant to our member ministries and representing their interests with UWM

  • Regional support for ministries via a dedicated regional UWM representative

  • Youth & Family Ministry support with a dedicated regional youth consultant

  • Support for Licensed Unity Teachers with a dedicated regional UWM representative

  • Scholarships for continuing education, conferences, and training to enhance ministry performance.

Representative Duties

Regional Representative

The Regional Representative serves as a link between the Unity Worldwide Ministries, the region, and the ministries within that region. The Regional Representative:

  • Serves on the Regional Board.

  • Serves as a member of the Standards Team.

  • Recommends individuals in the region for participation or membership on special task forces, training programs, and ministry teams of the Association.

  • Serves as an ongoing resource to ministers and ministries on behalf of UWM for information and referral regarding policies and procedures.

  • Serves as a pastoral presence for ministers and ministries in the region.

  • Serves as mentor and coach, being available to all stakeholders in the ministries of the region.

Licensed Unity Teacher Regional Representative

The Licensed Unity Teacher Regional Representative serves as a link between Unity Worldwide Ministries, the region, and the Licensed Unity Teachers within that region. The Licensed Unity Teacher Regional Representative:

  • Serves on the Regional Board.

  • Serves as a resource to Licensed Unity Teachers on behalf of Unity Worldwide Ministries for information and referral.

  • Serves as a pastoral presence, mentor, and coach for Licensed Unity Teachers in the region.
