Rev. Karen Saunders

The USCR board and staff share our deep gratitude for Rev. Karen Saunders, who stepped away from the board this April. Karen has served on the board since 2023, and we appreciate her time, support, and dedication to our region and movement.

Karen followed in the legacy of her mother, Rev. Helen D. Saunders, who graduated from the first class of Unity Urban Ministerial School, and Karen graduated from the first online class of the Urban School 30 years later. Karen is the senior minister at Christ-Love Unity Church in Omaha, Nebraska, founded by her mother. In addition, she is the registrar and adjunct professor for the Unity Urban Ministerial School.
