Online Meeting

The 2026 USCR Annual Membership Meeting (AMM) will be held in person at the USCR conference and online via Zoom. Registrations are required for eligible members (bylaws §3.a.) to assure voting privileges. If you’ve already registered for the conference, there’s no need to register for the online meeting.

Rev. Gary Canier

Senior Minister, Unity of New Braunfels, TX

I am grateful for the opportunity to offer myself for service on the Board of the Unity South Central Region. I am open to serving as the Secretary if needed.

I have wanted to serve on the Regional Board for many years. While Linda Gillispie, LUT, from our ministry was serving, I was honored to support her service and knew that, with only one person from a ministry able to serve on the Board at a time, my opportunity might come later. With Linda’s passing, I feel that this may now be the right time for me to step forward and serve.

  • I love our Unity South Central Region and deeply appreciate all that it provides to our ministries, ministers, spiritual leaders, and the greater Unity movement. The Region creates opportunities for connection, education, inspiration, support, and friendship that strengthen all of us and remind us that no ministry stands alone.

    Unity has given so much to my life and ministry, and serving on the Regional Board would be an opportunity for me to give back. I would bring my experience in ministry, leadership, communication, and community building, along with a willingness to listen, collaborate, and serve wherever I can be most helpful. In the past I served as the Secretary to the Unity Pacific Rim Region Board for 5 years.

    I believe strongly in the future of Unity and in the importance of supporting one another as we discover new and creative ways to share our message with the world. I would be honored to serve the Unity South Central Region and to help strengthen the connections that allow our ministries and our movement to thrive.

Rev. Kirti Cesaratto

Unity of Houston

Rev. Kirti is the current board president of USCR, running for a second term.

Kirti, ordained in 2020, leads the Prison Ministry program at Unity of Houston.

She is deeply engaged with the Unity Urban Ministerial School, serving as co-creator and co-instructor of the Prison Ministry Certification Program Courses. Additionally, she is the Senior Minister of Divine Expression, an expansion ministry devoted to helping other Unity leaders establish their own Prison Ministry programs.

  • Rev. Kirti is a Certified Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator.

    In the business world, she is the CEO of Epic International Brokers, a merger and acquisition firm, and since 2003 is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker. She is a Certified Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator and consults with others on business development and strategy.

    On a personal note, Rev. Kirti enjoys traveling with her husband, Joe. She cherishes time with her family, which includes two daughters, a grandson, and a granddaughter. Rev. Kirti is honored to serve and support the Unity South Central Region.

Rev. Nina Clark

Senior Minister, Unity of San Antonio

I currently serve as Secretary on the USCR Board, having been appointed to complete a term after a board member stepped down. I’m asking for your vote to continue in this role.

I volunteered for this board because I care about our ministries being supported—really supported—with what they need to thrive, not just survive. Unity communities across our region are doing meaningful, hard work, and I believe our board’s job is to make that work a little easier wherever we can.

  • I’m Senior Minister at Unity of San Antonio, and I bring that day-to-day ministry experience to the board table. I’m genuinely excited about this moment in ministry: there’s so much hunger in the world right now for what Unity teaches, and I believe our region has real opportunity to grow that impact together. I’d be honored to keep serving on this board as we step into that future.

FAQs

Will the Annual Membership Meeting (AMM) be in person?

Yes, the AMM will be held in person at this year’s conference. The AMM will be also held online via  Zoom for which any eligible attendee (bylaws §3.a.) needs to be registered.

When and where will I get the link to the AMM?

After registration and vetting for eligibility, any eligible members will receive a personalized link to connect prior to the AMM, approximately around Friday, October 9, 2026.

Can I call in to the Annual Membership Meeting?

No. A call-in option is not available. However, the Zoom application is readily available for most smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.

Will there be any technical support available?

We are unable to provide technical support during the AMM. We recommend installing the Zoom application on the device used for attending the AMM and testing it prior to joining the meeting. For any issues or concerns, contact Zoom’s technical support here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us.

How can I review information relevant to the AMM (e.g., financials, budget, board candidates, etc.)?

All relevant information will be made available to registered, eligible members and delegates of member ministries prior to the AMM (approximately Friday, October 9) via a password-protected web page.

Who can attend and vote at the AMM?

Only eligible members and representatives of member ministries (bylaws §3.a.) will be able to attend the online AMM for voting purposes. Eligible members include

  • any Unity ministry, represented by a designated delegate,

  • any individual who is an ordained or licensed Unity minister,

  • any Licensed Unity Teacher,

  • and any individual who is placed into THE leadership position of a Unity ministry.*

All eligible members must reside within our region and be in good standing with UC&L, UWH, and USCR (bylaws §1.b–c.).

*to be placed into the leadership position means being accepted into UCL’s special dispensation program.

What is a member ministry’s delegate?

A member ministry’s delegate represents a ministry during the AMM with full voting rights. Delegates are limited to one person per member ministry. Upon registration, a delegate will provide proof by uploading a letter on the represented ministry’s official letterhead confirming the delegation, signed by the person who is currently in the leadership position of that ministry (e.g., senior minister, leading minister, etc.). If the person in the leadership position of the ministry is the delegate, a signature of the president of the board is required.

I am leading a Unity ministry. However, I am not a Unity minister or Licensed Unity Teacher. Can I still attend the AMM?

Yes! With your registration, provide a letter of confirmation from UC&L that you are currently placed into THE leadership position of a Unity ministry (in good standing) or, if available, upload your letter of dispensation signed by UC&L .

Can I have more than one vote (e.g., as an individual and representative of my ministry)?

No. According to our bylaws (bylaws §3.c.i.), each eligible individual only has one vote. However, you may elect a delegate for your ministry who may vote in your stead.

Can I vote in absence or have someone else vote instead?

No. According to our bylaws (§3.c.ii), “[b]oth proxy and absentee voting are specifically prohibited.”

Can I nominate myself or someone else to serve on the board during the AMM?

No. Nominations from the floor are not an option. The nominating committee and the board of trustees ensure that candidates are vetted and well fit for the current needs of the board, which takes time to be appropriately prepared. However, you are welcome to nominate any eligible member, including yourself, once the call for nominations has been officially announced in the future.
