Lots Going On...Don’t Miss It!

The last couple of months were rather busy when it came to regional business. Here is a brief update on what has been happening:

Support Calls

Our support calls related to church business, self-care, innovations, soul sharing, and LUTs are going well. We have ministries from our and other regions joining us to collaborate on these various focus areas.

YFM Reimagination Project

We had our first meeting with the team that will be leading the YFM Reimagination project, seeking to reimagine how our region will provide support for all ages in the YFM for our member ministries. To join the team (one YFM representative per ministry), please contact us on info@unitysouthcentral.org.

YFM Curriculum Project

The YFM Curriculum Project team has released their first module of four lessons for all three age groups (up to UniTeens). We are currently working with UWM as to a consistent timeline when the remaining 11 modules will be published so that we can offer them to our ministries on a regular schedule. Stay tuned for more information to come.

Innovation Fund

As you know, USCR has designated $40,000 to an innovation fund, designed to encourage ministries to find new ways to support their local communities and beyond as well as the Unity movement. We are excited to announce that applications for innovation projects are now open.

Ministry Support

We are excited to announce that the board of trustees has reviewed the region's financial support policies and added the ministry consultant honorarium as an eligible expense. Learn more about this important change on our ministry support page.

Recognizing Member Ministries

The board of trustees is keen to learn more about member ministries who deserve a special recognition for exceptional services to the community and/or our Unity movement. Please let us know about any ministry you know that deserves a special consideration by completing this brief survey [survey closed].

Open Board Positions

We currently have two open board positions to be filled as soon as we find suitable candidates. In particular, we are looking for someone interested in taking on the role of the DEIJ representative of the region (see our bylaw policies). Other service opportunities on the board include regional representation, conference development, etc. If you are interested in serving on the USCR board of trustees, please email nominatingcommittee@unitysouthcentral.org. A separate communication will go out to all member ministries.

I don’t know about you, but I am excited about what is happening in our region, and I am looking forward to seeing much more involvement and recognition of yet-to-be-discovered innovations, talents, and other gifts our region and movement has to offer.
